Step 1: Setting Up a Cobblestone Generator

A cobblestone generator is one of the most important things to build first, as it provides an infinite source of cobblestone for expanding your island. Follow these steps to create one:

Basic Cobblestone Generator

  1. Dig a trench four blocks long and then make the two center blocks one block deeper.

  2. Place water on one end and lava on the other.

  3. When the water meets the lava, it will generate cobblestone.

  4. Start mining the cobblestone, and it will regenerate automatically!

Upgrading Your Cobblestone Generator

  • Eventually as you get iron and other materials, place hoppers underneath where the cobblestone generator is producing blocks and point them into a chest below. When you mine from now on, blocks mined get pulled into the chest automatically so that you don’t have to worry about losing them to the lava.

Step 2: Creating Small Farms

Since food is essential for survival, setting up a farm early is important. You start with a mini farm on your island, but you can expand it using seeds and water.

Basic Farm Setup

  1. Till the dirt using a hoe.

  2. Place water nearby to hydrate the soil (water hydrates farmland up to four blocks away).

  3. Plant crops like wheat, carrots, potatoes, or melons.

  4. Harvest and replant to maintain a steady food supply.

Expanding Your Farm

  • Sugarcane farms grow quickly and can be sold for money.

  • Cactus farms are great for passive income if your server has a shop.

  • Automatic farms using redstone can increase production.

Step 3: Breeding Animals for Resources

Many Skyblock islands come with starter animals such as cows, chickens, or sheep. Keeping them alive and breeding them is key to getting renewable food and materials.

How to Breed Animals

  • Cows & Sheep – Use wheat to breed them.

  • Chickens – Use seeds to breed.

  • Pigs – Use carrots or potatoes to breed.

Expanding Your Animal Farm

  • Build fenced enclosures to prevent animals from falling off the island.

  • Breed animals often to increase your food supply and get materials like wool and leather.

  • We sell spawners and spawner upgrades to automatically generate animals. Just look in the server shop thru the skyblock menu.

Step 4: Growing and Expanding Your Island

  • Complete challenges to earn rewards and unlock new features.

  • Use the shop to buy and sell resources like seeds, saplings, and farming tools.

  • Upgrade your island using the Island Panel to increase size, improve features, and allow more players to join.
